1. This is a huge waste of my time.

3. I had to give up my ticket for the magic show.

You know Jake, I happened to be in the supermarket and I heard a couple of guys say

 talking to each other.

They said, "Hey, you have a magic show tonight, Mr. magician?"

"Yeah, but you know what I'm not very confident. First of all, we are not shining stars and

 all of my magic tricks are failures."

And I thought, 'You know what, this is a huge waste of my time.'

I have tickets for the show, I had to give up my ticket for the magic show.

Instead, I stayed home, all night, practicing English.
